Configuring WebTV
- To setup your WebTV to connect to Dialup 4 Less go to the Dialing Options Screen. There are two ways to get to this screen:
- Method 1: With the WebTV turned on and already connected to the internet, on the Home screen, click onto Setup. Then click Dialing Options.
- Method 2: With the WebTV unit turned off, press the Option key three times, then type 2 1 7. The lights on the WebTV unit should flash quickly after this. Then, when the unit is turned on, it should go directly to the Dialing Options screen.
- Once you are at the Dialing Options screen, choose Use your ISP.
- Read through the next 3 screens and choose Continue on each.

On the next page, choose the option to
Use your ISP.
On this screen,
check the box at the top. If this box is not checked, you cannot enter the information that you need to use Dialup 4 Less as your ISP.
- Type Dialup 4 Less for the Service provider name.
- Enter your Dialup 4 Less dialup username in the Login name box.
- Enter your Dialup 4 Less password in the Password box.
- Type your Local Access Number into the Modem dial-in number.
The number should be entered
exactly as it needs to be dialed. For example, if you need to dial the area code enter the number as XXX XXX-XXXX, or if you need to
dial 9 to get an outside line enter the number as 9, XXX-XXXX. Dashes (-) and spaces are not required.
- If you have a second local access number, type it in the Backup dial-in number box. If not, leave this box blank.

When you have entered the information, click
Done.
A message should pop up saying that Y
our Internet terminal needs to reconnect for your changes to take effect. Click
Continue.

If the
WebTV unit was already connected, it will hang up and reconnect to a
toll-free WebTV to tell
WebTV that you will be using an
ISP.
The unit will then give you the option to Use your
ISP. When you click this
option, it will disconnect from the toll-free number and dial the Dialup 4 Less local access number.
When the
WebTV home page is displayed, you have successfully configured your
WebTV.
