On April 18, 2006, my local Public Broadcasting Station (PBS56) ran two programs, one after the other. Both touched on the issue of Global Man-Made Carbon Warming, but they merely used the term Global Warming as if everybody is supposed to know what they are talking about - they mean carbon warming of this planet by mankind.

The first was a NOVA program called `Dimming The Sun". The second was a Journey To Planet Earth program called `Saving the Animals'. Both programs contained misleading statements, false predictions of Doom & Gloom, and out-right lies. The programs are infected with the dogmar of the Carbon Cultists.

There is this large cult that believes carbon dioxide is warming this planet and that it will make it very hot for us in the future unless we all go back in time and live the life of people of the Middle Ages, or maybe like in the Stone Ages, whatever. They have no evidence to support their beliefs, but that does not stop them. Anyone can join this cult and many have, but you must believe without question and without proof. The cult members come from scientist, media, politicans, etc. Some are Sixty Minutes, Al Gore, James Hansen, John McCain, Chicken Little, and now NOVA and PBS are willing to put their credibility at stake in order to be a member of this cult.

PBS should be ashamed of themselves. Some day they will need redemption, if and when that day comes they can start to redeem themselves by having balanced coverage of issues that have not yet been proven.

Fifteen Minutes of Fame:

NOVA should not be making programs containing Junk-Science, but I'm glad they did because it shows all of us the lack of credibility of many climatologists - too many. The people they had on the programs were not honest climatologists. It would be better to refer to them as Climate-Clowns because they would say anything for Shock & Awe in their quest for Fifteen Minutes of Fame on television.

Much Ado About Nothing:

The NOVA program started with a female voice saying: "...he warned us twenty-five years ago .... and since then the world has gotten hotter..." She is referring to Dr James Hansen of NASA. Her statement is misleading. An increase of only +0.42 C degrees is merely warmer not hotter and while it is true that temperatures are a bit higher than twenty-five years ago, they are not above many higher peaks that were reached in the first ten thousand years of our current Interglacial Warm Period. The temperature of this planet hit its highest peak 8141 years ago, since then it has been going sideways while wandering up and down between 54 and 59 F degrees, but never going back up to its highest peak of 60.91 F degrees.

We must view the last three hundred years in the context of the last eight thousand years. When we do, we should learn that 240 years ago global temperature had merely hit the Little Ice Age, one of its many lows, and then started moving up - no big deal, that is, it is natural and normal for temperature to be doing this, but when someone puts a false importance on this minor rise, it implies that this rise is something extra ordinary, which it is not - it is 'Much Ado About Nothing'.

The Climate-Clowns Overlook Particle Cooling:

The topic of the NOVA program, Dimming The Sun, was to tell us that particles in the air can cool the planet, while this is true, it is not new information. We have known this since we have experienced huge volcanos putting huge amounts of dust and particles into the air that would spread around the earth. If anyone should have known about particle cooling it should have been the Climate-Clowns, but the point of this program was that these clowns were not even putting this factor into their climate models, which tells us that they are incompentent Climate-Clowns and likewise their climate models are not up to making predictions.

I'll tell you something else they are not putting into their models - the fact that the output of the sun is erratic. If a person were to check the output of the sun again after a period of time, it would be a surprise if the readings were the same, but those so called climate scientists on the NOVA program were surprised that the reading were different - which shows that they are clueless and yet we are supposed to believe in them when they say the sky is falling.

If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass:

The word 'IF' is being used as an excuse to create misinformation: NOVA should not allow these Climate-Clowns to use the word IF, because it only creates outrageous predictions of doom and gloom. That main Climate-Clown on the program, what's his name, said that IF temperatures go up another three degrees in the next one hundred years the earth would be as hot as three million years ago - this is not true. This Earth has had at least twenty warm periods in the last two million years, most of them would have had temperatures above the three degree mark that he speaks of, besides it was at the two million years ago mark when this earth entered into a Major Ice Age, yes we are now in a Major Ice Age. Past Major Ice Ages have averaged about sixty million years in length - when we toss out the longest and the shortest. So what this Climate-Clown is predicting is that our Major Ice Age will be over in the next one hundred years - I don't think so. A true climatologist would not make such a prediction off the top of his/her head. He also predicted that the seas would rise two to three meters in one hundred years - these wayout predictions are merely hype told for Shock & Awe.

Only Use The Best Predictions:

PBS should only allow predictions on their programs that have at least an eighty percent chance of becoming true. For example: I can predict that carbon dioxide will rise at least as much in the next fifty years as it has risen in the last fifty years. This is a very safe prediction to make, 99% chance of being true. This is because currently carbon dioxide is going up like a rocket to the moon and there is nothing in the near future to stop it. The key is to base predictions on two things. One: What has happened in the past and Two: The theory that it will happen again. If we do this we will not be correct all the time, but we will be correct most of the time, while the Climate Clowns with their climate models will be wrong most of the time. Always remember that these Climate Clowns will be making their predictions from fabricated charts and a Garbage In - Garbage Out type of divice. These guys see nothing wrong in fine tuning charts and computers to make sure they show concocted predictions of the cult. When we predict on what is currently happening we can expect the same to continue to happen at least for the short term - 50 to 100 years is short term compared to ten to thirty thousand years in the life of an Inter-Glacial Warm Period.

Another prediction: Average temperatures will continue to move sideways for the next one hundred years. This is about a 95% safe prediction to make, because this is what temperatures have been doing for the last eight thousand years - no reason to believe that they will not continue to do the same for at least the next one hundred years, but the predictions that Climate-Clowns are making on NOVA have a low chance of becoming true - which will make all NOVA programs lack credibility.

Why did PBS allow this Climate-Clown to make such outlandist predictions? He is pleased because they have given him his 'Fifteen Minutes of Fame'. He will never be held accountable because he will be long gone in less than 100 years, but what about PBS? How long are they going to be around and are they willing to be held accountable for their part in this deception? If not, then they are as bad as he is.

The biggest lie on the program is the suggestion that we humans can control the temperature of this planet by controlling carbon dioxide, not true because carbon dioxide has little if any influence on temperature. There is no evidence of postive observations in the real world that carbon dioxide causes temperature to rise, there is evidence of positive observations in the real world that temperature does its own thing without influence from carbon dioxide.

A Climate Theory is not a Fact - A Climate Model is Not a Fact:

A climate theory/model needs real positive observations to prove it to be a fact - this has not happened with the Global Warming via Carbon Dioxide theory/model - on the contrary, real observations are negative. Global Warming via carbon dioxide is merely a myth, but too many so called climate scientists cannot let go, they insist on keeping the myth as a belief, much like a religious belief, which everyone must believe without question - without proof.

Save The Animals - Journey to Planet Earth:

The second program was about Saving The Animals, a Journey to Planet Earth program. I'm all in favor of saving the animals, but in this program blame was put on Global Warming. When a Climate-Clown mentions Global Warming, he means higher temperatures due to higher carbon dioxide levels due to man-made carbon dioxide - this is not true, but he won't give it up. He even showed his charts in which he predicted that temperatures will rise twenty more C degrees aka 36 F degrees.

What is this Climate-Clown Smoking:

An additional twenty C degrees is another prediction for Shock & Awe. It took more than 16 thousand years for temperatures to rise from a low of 40.30 F in 22,363 BC to a high of 60.91 F degrees in 6,135 BC, and now this Climate-Clown is saying we can expect another Thirty-six F degree rise. This at a time when temperatures have been going sideways for the last eight thousand years with no indication that the average temperature will rise - What is this Climate-Clown smoking anyway.

Two Lies Told for Shock and Awe:

Lie Number One: "Temperatures are rising faster than anytime in recorded history." Not True! Temperatures have risen faster many times in only the last eight thousand years let alone the entire history of recorded temperatures. Proof is in the ice cores of Antarctica.

Lie Number Two: "...in a world already experiencing the warmest year on record..." Not True! Again, there have been many warmer years in only the last eight thousand years let alone in the entire history of recorded temperatures. Again, proof is in the ice cores of Antarctica.

It should be noted that when a climate clown uses the term `Record' we do not really know what is the length in time of that record. Some climate clowns only accept temperature reading done by thermometers. While the thousands of thermometers reading around the globe do give us the closest true value of the temperature of this planet, that record only goes back to 1880 AD, only 126 years, not enough time to be comparing which year is the warmest on record. The last normal rise in temperature reached a peak in 1603 AD, after that temperatures went down into the `Little Ice Age', then started up in 1766 AD and have been working their way up for the last 240 years. The record these clowns are referring to does not include the Little Ice Age nor the peak of 1603, nor other peaks before that. These clowns will take part of a normal rise in temperature and say that is the `Record'. These clowns know that most people will not be checking the record so they feel they can get away with being devious.

The Climate-Clowns are Back:

Both of these programs were good programs for me because they told me that Climate-Clowns can be incompentent, misleading, spread doom & gloom, and that they have a strong herd instinct and would rather run with the herd even if wrong than stand alone and maybe be right. I also learned that NOVA and PBS will allow these Climate-Clowns a platform to present lies and their one sided assumption that the controversial issue of Global Warming via Carbon Dioxide is true - it is not true. Surely they could have found a true climatologist who is willing to stand alone and speak for the other side of the Global Warming issue - the other side of the coin needs to be seen in order for their programs to be balanced. They should not assume that one side is correct.

The Fat Checker:

It appears that no one is checking the facts of their programs. When their employment office hired a Fact Checker, they must have made a mistake and hired a FAT Checker. While they have no one checking facts, they should at least have the FAT Checker check for FAT. PBS has too much FAT, they don't need people who put lies & bias into their programs - the credibility of PBS is in question.

I look forward to their next production of junk science.

I am not a climatologist nor a Climate-Clown, I say that with pride, but for years I have made a study of Global Warming via Carbon Dioxide. Anyone who will study the issue using the existing data of temperature and carbon dioxide can be better informed than the climate clowns.
